Paris - first evening

The trip from Lucerne to Paris was about a 10 hour drive which included two 45 minute pit-stops. This was the longest of all our drives, but interacting with our tour group made it go by quickly. One of the tourists with us, Frank, would go around selfie-ing with sleeping folks until they woke up. This album is hilarious.

We arrived in the evening so our tour manager and driver drove us around Paris informing us of the hot spots around the city. One of the things that surprised me most about Paris was how large the structures are, let alone the urban sprawl. The pictures probably won't do everything justice so you'll have to take my word for it when I say that the monuments are buildings are massive.

Heading down the main strip Champs-élysées. You can see Magdi speaking over on the microphone on the right. Talk about a walking city encyclopedia. In every city we went to Magdi was on the horn reciting history, current events, and information about the current destination. She was a super helpful wealth of information that aided my learning quite a lot.

Arc de Triumph

I think this is the opera house.

The Louvre at night.

Jardin des Tuileries.

Eiffel Tower.

Views from the top.

A few shots on the ground.

Playing with the lighting.

Poppin' off on the hour.
