tl;dr I created this blog to document and track my travels through Europe with Josh whenever I am able to connect to wifi.

Who and what
Josh and I got the idea to take leave from our jobs about 2 years ago. The plan was, and is now, to take an extended trip to places neither of us have been before. If you couldn't guess by the name of this blog, Josh and I are planning to backpack through Europe over the course of about 4 weeks. Along the way, I plan to document much of the travel experience here in any downtime I come across.

Why
Up until now, I haven't had many opportunities to travel for leisure. I am fortunate to be in a position in my personal and professional life to take a short hiatus from the adult-responsible-reality and experience a small portion of the northern hemisphere.

How
I've arranged an extended leave of absence with my current employer. I won't be getting paid during my time away from the office, but my job will be waiting for me when I return. Over the past 2 years I've saved for this trip and all the expenses are coming out of my own pocket.

Blog
I'm writing this blog completely from my iPhone. The layout isn't necessarily the best, but it's optimized to be viewed from mobile devices. I'll primarily be posting pictures and short posts related to where I am along my trip. If you're inclined, follow along.
